Liberty Science Center

LSC is a 300,000-square-foot learning center located in Liberty State Park on the Jersey City bank of the Hudson near the Statue of Liberty. The Science Center houses 11 museum exhibition halls, a live animal collection with 110 species, giant aquariums, a 3D theater, live simulcast surgeries, K-12 classrooms and labs, teacher-development programs, and the Western Hemisphere's biggest planetarium—the Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium.
More than 750,000 students, teachers, and parents visit Liberty Science Center each year, and tens of thousands more participate in the Center's off-site and online programs. Popular experiences include: Dino Dig Adventure, where you can dig for life-size replica fossils beneath 60 tons of sand; the Touch Tunnel, a pitch-black maze that you navigate using only your sense of touch; the Infinity Climber, an enclosed play space suspended 35 feet above the atrium floor, and Wild About Animals, where you can meet cotton-top tamarins, naked mole rats, leaf-cutter ants, fish, snakes, tortoises, and more!
The Science Center is ADA compliant and prepared to welcome guests with special needs. On designated Sensory Days, LSC provides an environment exclusively for guests on the autism spectrum or who have other sensory differences, including limited attendance, lowered light and noise levels, quiet spaces and sensory items, and unique activities developed in conjunction with our partners at the Children’s Specialized Hospital.
LSC After Dark is an event series on select Thursday nights throughout the year, created for adults 18 and older, which features great party themes and atmosphere, DJs and a dance floor, special planetarium and laser shows, and delicious snacks and drinks—including cocktails, wine, and beer for those 21 and up.
We would love to welcome you soon! Visit lsc.org to learn more and get tickets.
